General information
De Dagtoertaxi offers low priced long distance taxi services on reservation, carried out by an experienced driver in a comfortable car with a lot of luggage space. On request a child seat is available. Passengers with reduced mobility can use a free foldable wheelchair during eventual stops. The taxi is unfortunately not equipped for wheelchair transport.

Dayrent
Introduction
Dayrent is De Dagtoertaxi's specialty. Passengers can rent the car and the driver/guide for a whole day and pay a day rate for 1 to 4 passengers, based on an agreed maximum of hours and kilometres. Not included are external costs for tollroads, ferries, parking etc.
Possibilities
You can rent De Dagtoertaxi for a direct round trip with some hours of waiting time (for example to visit friends, a party, a theatre performance, an exhibition, etc.) or for a relaxed day tour along a scenic route, eventually with some stops at interesting points.
At your destination or during one of these stops the driver can wait nearby, but he can also accompany you, for example to guide you or to give any other support or advice.
All these extra services are free, but eventual extra costs for the driver (that he would not have had if he would have waited in the car) are not included.
If you decide to go your own way, while the driver waits for you, a free Dutch cell phone is available, so that you can keep in touch with the driver all day long.
One way taxi / airport taxi from 50 kms
De Dagtoertaxi can also be used as a one way budget taxi for long distance taxi services in/from/to the Netherlands (including long distance airport transfers).

Price appointments
For all long distance services De Dagtoertaxi makes price appointments in advance (for 1 to 4 passengers and all their luggage), based on the total time and distance that is needed for the requested service (including driving up and down from Amsterdam).
Nevertheless, price comparison can also be wortwhile for long taxi rides from other regions than the Amsterdam region.

One-man budget taxi company for
day tours and taxi services >50 kms
A Canadian couple stays in Amsterdam for a few days and wants to spend one long day out- side Amsterdam. The lady wants to drive through the countryside and see some windmills, and her husband is interested in everything that reminds of the liberation of the Netherlands by the allied troops in World War II. The driver plans a "typical Dutch" scenic route that leads along pretty villages and some windmills, but also along war memorials and information tables at former battle fields, a liberation museum and a Cana-dian war cemetery. In one of the villages they speak to an old man who tells them (translated by the driver) about the arrival of Cana-dian troops in his village in 1945.
They drive 240 kms (150 miles) in 13 hours. The taxi price is € 178.
A Japanese old lady and her two daughters arrive in Amsterdam on a cruise ship. They have a lot of luggage. Before they'll fly back from Amsterdam they want to make a Rhine-cruise from Arnhem (NL) to Koblenz (D). De Dagtoertaxi brings them to Arnhem (109 kms/€ 109) and a week later from Koblenz to Amsterdam (364 kms/€ 251).
